  • Great win - but the real story of the night...

    ...is that UW is atrocious.

Good lord. How did it get so bad in Seattle? I was bullish on Hop when he was hired, that was a bad take.

Yep, I had no idea what they are working toward and Hopkins has a long way to get them to respectability. J'Ron looked worse than he did in his limited minutes here.

when hopkins really struggled in boeheim's absence at suracuse, i pointed out that we dodged a bullet in not hiring him. some on the old board had some really unkind and obviously now wrong responses.

I wanted Hopkins or Dixon, but are now looking like meh. It's way better to keep Enfield.

On a side note, the attitude of Helton and Enfield are so different and apparent. Like I dont get upset watching an Enfield-coaching team. The set jaw guy, not so much.

I really think that Coach Mobley is paying off more than just being the father of our two biggest stars, too. I hope he stays for a long time past his boys.

They don't have the athletes to implement his defense properly. Their zone was atrocious last night. The whole point of the zone is to clog up the middle yet most times last night, the hard double team either name came or came too late.

if you dont work hard in practice or go full in a game there are consequences with Enfield.

if you dont work hard in practice or go full in a game there are excuses made for you by Helton.

Good point but Cuse loves Hopkins. Been listening to Eric Devendorf’s podcast that recently had Jason Hart as a guest and they think so highly of Hopkins as a father figure & a coach. I was one of the few that wanted Hopkins hired at USC - Mater Dei Alum, Boeheim disciple & experience coaching USA Basketball I really thought he had what it takes to become a good Coach for the right program. He was even named as the Head Coach In Waiting for Cuse. He & his staff will have to work the transfer market extensively just like CAE & his staff did during the offseason to be a respectable team next season. Btw I love the Marcus Simmons avatar!
