  • Just a reminder

This isn’t college football. We weren’t going to win the rest of our games this season, nor do we need to in order to make the tourney.

I swear, we lose a tough close game on the road on a Tuesday after winning 5 straight in conference and suddenly the sky is falling.

As for those who are now crowing that we are nothing more than a “bubble team”....first, you’re flat out wrong based on projections and, second, given how many new players we had this year, how many of you were expecting us to be better?

Credit to Oregon State. They shut us down and now we have to bounce back. That’s basketball.

Agreed. We are going to need to find a way to overcome ourselves with poor FT shooting and inconsistent 3pt shooting, but I have faith we will be in a good place by seasons end. We are deep with a mature group of players playing a tough stretch of games in terms of scheduling after 3 weeks of not being able to practice.

Hopefully this is a good wake up call.

Before this game, I had a loss to Colorado and 2 random losses. Hopefully this is one of the 2 random losses. Just sweep the Bay Area schools to get back into business as usual.

so let me get this straight..... USC calls a timeout to supposedly set up a play ( one of their better plays) with 40 seconds or so on the clock and.....

You saw it USC can't even get a shot off, with Anderson chucking it off the backboard/rim, miraculously bouncing back to USC where they don't event a second shot off. So this is the best offense USC can come up with after a timeout. What a joke. I have seen this dozens of times over the last 4-5 years. The offense stinks and luckily there is talent but Tinkle is a way better coach than Enfield. He does more with less. Unfortunately, Enfield does less with more. This game was over at about the 10 minute mark in the first half. The road excuse is BS.

The free throwing is on the players, although it seems the coaches should do something to improve it. ( last in the pac 12 last year, last in the pac12 this year) It was obvious it would catch up with a loss sooner or later. OSU 12-14. USC 10-18

Don't want to hear about the refs. This one is on the coaching staff or who ever is coaching/designing the offense. A choke by the Coaching staff.

I hope I am wrong, but I will be shocked if USC beats Stanford at Santa Cruz. ( So it is a road game/gym for both teams)

Yeah they shut us down, because they have a better coach.

How many times has OSU gone to the NCAA tournament under Tinkle?

        Thanks for playing.

Wow Tinkle is definitely kicking ass this year with a 7-5 record!!
They got up for a USC team and came out with the W 😷🤨
You remind me of those dudes from yesteryear that love USC football and love UCLA BB. The moment USC starts to win in hoops they get their panties in a bunch.
I know a few guys like you 😝😃

Could have written the same many times in the last 5-6 years. Can't win em all but too many losses that should not be losses.

It's been a brutal schedule, 6th game in 11 days. Hopefully the team isn't feeling too fatigued.

Hate to see a wasted opportunity. The OSU game was a gimme on the schedule.

The only thing more predictable than a USC team under Enfield -- meaning, a team that generally wins at least 20 games and makes the tourney, a few disappointments and inconsistencies aside -- is the mercurial nature of some members of the fan base.

don't know about others who are/have been been mercurial.

This has been going on pretty much from day one

Underachieving is hard to take for most people

No one wants USC to win more than me.......

I'm not a complete pessimist like some on the board but that was bad lost for us.

Of course it was. But that’s all it was. It’s not the end of the season.

Again, agreed with MNH... good basketball teams lose to lesser teams. All. The. Time. Literally, every day of the week in every week of a college basketball season, good teams have off-nights. Road games are harder, too. sketch76's hero Tim Floyd said it himself to make the tournament, you need to sweep at home and split on the road. Well, in AZ we swept on the road. Then, we swept the WA's at home. Now we got a road loss. Gotta win one now.
