  • Who is the most valuable grad transfers?

Before the season, I thought Chevez would be the one.
At this point of the season, I think it is Eaddy. He is consistent contributor game to game, nice passes and assists, FTs good, penetrate and finish.

    Who is yours?

    Drew Petersen

Up until the last 3-4 games, where he has had bad shooting performances (missed open 3's and blew many layups), I would have said Drew Peterson for his all around game. He can do it all with driving, dishing and rebounding. By the smallest of margins, I am going to say Tahj Eaddy, simply due to being more consistent. Ask again in a few weeks and that may change. I want to say that all of the grad transfers have given great effort and brought a contagious energy to the team. Isaiah White is the energizer bunny and Chevez Goodwin is a good old fashioned post player who can rebound and score around the basket. It is amazing to me how well they all fit into this team, which has an unselfish identity, with even Max Agbonkpolo buying in.

On the old board, Chase presented some interesting data that would suggest Isaiah White has been the most valuable. +0.17 PPP differential, highest on the team.

While intriguing, I think that data skewed by playing time: both how often the individual is playing and who is on the court with them. For example, it showed Evan as the lowest PPP (offense) but I think its clear we would rather have Evan on the court for offense than any other individual player.

They’re all pretty solid but I’d say Eaddy is the most valuable .

I didn’t expect much from any of them because they all came from such low level programs. But they’ve all been a pleasant surprise and made the team a lot better than I thought it would be.

Eaddy for me. He’s playing and producing much more like his 2018 season where he averaged 15/game for Santa Clara. Imo he is a much more better offensive player than Jonah was for us last season.

It's a nice argument. I think Peterson just barely edges Eaddy.
