Some thoughts going in:

-- On paper we match up pretty well with Stanford. They don't have the lights out three point shooting that typically gives us fits. They also don't have the guys to run with some of our more athletic bigs. And they aren't a great rebounding squad.

-- They do play within themselves and are very well coached. And I do worry about the shooting ability of Spencer Jones.

-- I wonder if some of the guys who are now playing for them who don't usually play as much have been benefitting from not having been scouted too much. Now there's a little bit of tape on them so maybe their effectiveness will go down a bit.

-- Wonder if both teams might play quite a bit of zone tonight.


I do think we're gonna win this one, but I expect it will be a battle. Of course, if we come out with poor shooting again, it could be a long night.

Really disgusting, but they're unforced errors so I think we can clean them up by second half. Our defense has been good, Da Silva has 2 fouls and our shots just aren't going down so im confident.
