      I was there - my senior year. Used to play pick-up with Miner at the Lyon Center. Cooper & Miner were on Skull & Dagger with me (though only Cooper showed up for the ceremony).

        I remember that Magic was at that game as well, and Minor snuck a quick look in his direction after the dunk. Magic was impressed. If you were at the game, you probably didn't see that exchange, but the TV crew played it up pretty big.

          I was there and to me that is the best play ever by any player against UCLA. I also know Maclean a little and used to kid him about that play...

            in that case you should let good old Don Maclean know about the teeshirts that the entire team was wearing underneath their jerseys that night which had HIS QUOTE printed on the front!!!! The quote came from him in the pauley pavilion locker room just after we beat them in game one (when they were ranked #2 in the NATION)......something to the effect of, “and to lose to a team like this in our own gym is a JOKE”. Thanks Don!!! SWEPT!!
