  • Very unusual but good stat from the game

Scanning the stat sheet which I always do I noticed something that I don't ever recall seeing before. EVERY USC player that played tonight had at least one assist. Coaches love to see a stat like this. It shows the team is sharing the basketball. 15 assists on 23 made baskets tonight. Good stuff here from the Trojans.

FT % at 69%. That is unusual too.

That’s how you beat a zone!

We can always dream but that's probably what impressed me most about his FGCU team, tons of assists and "hockey assists" like the pass from Max to Goodwin to Ethan tonight.

One other thing that was interesting as well. I don't believe we had even one dunk last night. Please correct me if I'm wrong. That has to be a first this season.

Mick said in a pregame interview that his explicit plan was to stop USC from getting "easy baskets" since he thought teams gave us a lot of those. That's why they played a packed zone and doubled our bigs all the time.
