  • Espn - Lunardi has USC as 4 seed

    USC - 4 vs Winthrop
    UCLA -7 vs Seton Hall
    Colorado - 7 vs Indiana
    Stanford - 11 vs UConn (first 4)
    Oregon - 12 vs VCU (first 4)

This is a dramatic change from Lunardi's previous Bracketology. Oregon has dropped like a stone. They have been hurt by postponements and losses when they did get to play.

Happy to see Lunardi warming up to our program. Our recent run 10-1 last 11 games, with only 2 pt loss away from home against OSU, and 4 games winning streak beating Stanford and Teddy Bear Bruin is rewarded with top 20 national ranking recognition and this preliminary seeding. This will only help SC's reputation as a basketball program. For recruiting, it helps that CAE already has some players playing in NBA like Melton, JMac, Metu, Okungwu, and E.Mobley is next in line. Beating UCLA the last 3 games is a recruiting gain that we are best team in LA and Southern CA. To contend and win title will be another story. Lots of work ahead for the team. For now, I'm so happy for our players and coaching staff, and for all of us here. My hope someday is that we can be a polarizing team year in and year out and a program build to last. In CAE, I trust. Fight On! .

Hope the players are reading all these glowing reviews, and loses their edge. If they get full of themselves, they will lose a game this weekend.
FWIW- [email protected] CBS SportsLine still has us as the last 7 seed. He doesn't seem to have respect for this team. Hope we prove him wrong

That kind of a matchup looks a lot more appealing for us, versus playing a blue blood like UNC, Duke, Kentucky or Kansas. Even in a down year for them, they have loads of talent and could suddenly find their game against some teams and erase the memory of their regular seasons. Fight on Trojans! Beat the Huskies!
