  • Great team victory for the Trojans and sealed it with FTs

Great team victory, lots of contributors (White had a couple of Big 3s, Ethan had 5 assists and aggressively went to the basket), the team shot 51% from the field, 45% from 3 pt distance and even though they hit only 65.5% of their FTs, down the stretch they knocked them down to seal the win. Isaiah Mobley missed his first 2 FTs, then hit 5-6 the rest of the game, Evan was 6-9 and Tahj was 7-9. The interior defense was good with Evan intimidating with his 6 blocks and the outside D forced WSU into shooting 3-25 on 3s.

My concern is with Drew. I keep waiting for him to break out of his slump, but he is having bad luck with open shots, rimming in and out on his 3s , missing floaters and just cannot get the ball to drop on his finger roll scoop shots, and that has been over several games. He gets to the rim, but doesn't finish, maybe he should try going up stronger and not trying to finesse those shots?

It is always nice to know that there are things we can get better at, while we are still winning games. It's a good time to be a Trojan basketball fan! Fight on, beat the Sun Devils!

Yeah, Drew has been so weird, hard to know what's getting to him or why he isn't feeling himself.

Could be that P12 play is just a little rough for him? Did he have good games versus the Arizona's?

Otherwise, maybe scouting reports have figured out how to defend him, but I don't they'd focus too much on drew.

Then again, he has glimpses of his previous self - like the game against Stanford, and has some nice shots here and there, just not on a consistent basis.

Maybe he gets locked up dribbling in traffic and have been playing more zone against us to stop Evan.

I think Drew will be ok but it's the turnovers that he needs to work on. That 3 he missed that rimmed out was the hardest luck missed 3 ever. He still brings a lot to the table when he's out there.

Spot on. Good to be winning with things to improve upon. Drew has the potential to be a great help. Also, Isaiah hitting both FTs on that intentional foul may be a turning point. Shows when he slowed down and focused he can hit his shots.
