This USC team will likely lose again before this season is over. I hope everyone is mentally prepared for it when it does happen. Let's not let it mean more than it is. We've had a great season thus far with an entirely rebuilt roster, but college basketball teams lose games from time to time. When it happens, the key will be how we bounce back. I think this team is mentally tough and will do just that if by chance we drop a game or two.

there are enough mentally challenged people on this board that cannot wait to take a shot at Enfield.

Wow, so now if you're pessimistic about this team you're mentally challenged?

If you are pessimistic about this team at this point, yea, mentally challenged is about right. I can see you saying the team won't make the final 4, or even the sweet 16. But to think this team is not playing up to their potential and still thinking we need a new coach, that's insanity.

I''m not sure I want this team heading into the tournament on a huge win streak. That's added pressure we don't need. A loss down the stretch should be expected, and probably healthy. COlorado on the road looks daunting....but man I want to beat those SOBs.

I think that you're right. I could see us going 0-2 in the mountain trip, most likely 1-1. There is going to be criticism after that undoubtedly, but you can't please everyone. I've been critical at times of Andy the past few years, but any reasonable fan sees the improvements this season.

I'll let you know how I feel about the Colorado and UCLA games after this week. If we win both games convincingly, I have a good feeling about winning out. Colorado was my conference favorite going into the conference play. They have been inconsistent and we don't handle teams with big post players (girth, not height) all that well but have improved in that area. Utah just isn't that good this year, but playing in SLC is always a challenge due to the altitude. Stanford should have all their players this time, so also a challenge. And UCLA is solid and we will be playing them at Pauley. I do like our chances of winning out, but it's not like we have cupcakes the rest of the way.
