I loved how it seemed that the team took its game to another level tonight. The team has been playing better and better and it did seem like one of our most complete games this year.
hahaha. me too eddie. also was thinking how we are 6-1 on the road right now. crowd or not, that's kinda crazy.
i mean....before any usc basketball season in the last xx years....if i wouldve told you before that season started that we will win in Tucson, in Seattle, in Tempe & in Palo Alto in the upcoming season what would you have said in return?
Nice to see the energy and the confidence from the team. I do think Enfield deserves some credit. He began focusing on defense 2 years ago and it’s paying dividends and will continue to. It does appear he has the buy-in from the players which is why we have seen a noticeable improvement on the scoreboard. Let’s hope they continue the energy. They continue to improve each game and should peak at the right time. Enjoy the ride and let’s hope they focus one game at a time.

Yep. He totally scrapped the whole “Dunk City” mantra & went into putting the opposition through a grinder. He’s finally got it figured out
and CAE has also focused the team on bringing the ball in under a pressing defense. Wow, the head scratchers dealing with a full court press in the past.
54.5 FG%
11-20 from 3 55%
& an absolute domination from the Mobley brothers!
Yes you had me at hello ✌ haha
But yes, close to a complete game. ASU played and shot well in first half. But our team made adjustment and we finished strong. We took advantage of our size, and out rebounded ASU 36 to 26. We also had 21 assists to ASU's 11.
Can we also take a moment to celebrate the ability of this team to inbound the ball? Great set plays and also when the play breaks down, they know what the backup options are (usually throw it to one of the bigs).

Love it. I agree. But I actually think CAE has to be given a lot of credit for team's performance this season. We have so many new players in the team. With limited practice time due to Covid before the season, I'm impressed we are playing as one cohesive team. The team also had to deal with that 3-wk pause due to Covid But team kept winning after that. This team has a lot mental toughness and fortitude. We have grown and evolve as a much improved team from last time we played UConn, Colorado and OSU.
HOF coaches like Coach K and Calipari with all their 5 star recruits/players are struggling this year and may not get invited to the dance. 18-3, I have to give more than "some" credit to CAE.
Seems like the get veteran transfer thing is really gonna blow up instead of the 5 or so major conference teams that do so now. and putting this team in a pandemic bubble has certainly helped them come together....moreso than a 'regular' season.
but as not simplistic as i typed above. our staff has been exceptional in their recruiting of transfers. they recruit for role and for leadership. if this veteran transfer thing does bc super common it's nice to know that only 1 or 2 schools can put "proven successful transfer destination" on their resume'. with one being USC, oc.
