  • I think we match up pretty well with Oregon

Oregon’s bigs aren’t world beaters, they don’t have a ton of size and I suspect it’s gonna be a bit of a shock to the system to face Evan for the first time. The only conference teams that have been able to effectively withstand that initial exposure to our size and talent down low is Colorado, which has some physical bigs.

We should be able to dominate the boards, so as long as Oregon doesn’t go too crazy from outside, I feel cautiously optimistic about tonight.

I hope you're right. Eugene Omoruyi and Chris Duarte have been straight balling for them, so if we can shut them down then the rest should follow. This will also be their third game in five games, and they have to travel to us so hoping for the best here.

Omoruyi is a beast low. I Mobley better bring his lunch pail. Think that will be key to the game. Keep him from controlling the paint and our chances go up dramatically.

Don't get me wrong, he's good. But he's also 6-6, not 6-10. He gets 5 rebounds per game.

Yes, but he is physical and clears out space. Something we struggle with

They do have a habit of going crazy on the outside against us though.

Melton- I so hope you are right. I get a bad feeling about this game, as well as Thursday vs Colorado, who always brings their A game when they play us. I am really worried about a 3 game losing streak.
Hoping the team makes me look stupid

There's no significance to a "bad feeling" about a game. Whatever it is you feel has no bearing on how USC will or will not perform. Either you think USC will win or you don't.

We will need anyone besides Evan or Tahj to score more than 10 points. Someone will need to have a breakout big game again to ease the pressure off those 2

Evan barely broke 10 and we won by 14 haha. Who would have thought

And make sure LJ Figueroa and Chris Duarte don’t go off.

Did someone really come on this board and predict USC would lose to Oregon and COLO? Seriously, I am soooooooooooooo glad to be wrong. Enfield really had the team mentally prepared, and no doubt, Oregon is a very good team.
Huge win- if we split on the Mountain trip that won't necessarily bad.

With Oregon now in the bag, split the mountain trip and beat UCLA and that will seal the regular season title. We still very much control our destiny.

Having Oregon tiebreaker is huge - and extra buffer win for UCLA...

Remember we have Stanford at home again next week - they're looking for a win from anyone willing to donate it. I'm confident about that game though.

It would be really nice to take care of the buffs on thursday - mostly cause I think UCLA will...

That Oregon-UCLA game is huge for us. Thank Jebus the Pac 12 didn't screw us by not rescheduling it and even better it's in Eugene.

Thanks for manning up and admitting to being wrong on this rather than slinking away like some on here do. Appreciate your contributions.

tonight was big and SC delivered. Oregon was bound to rally so wasn't too concerned near the end. USC basketball has made me greedy.
