    To all the Enfield haters

    Look. I know how hard it is to be wrong.

    I know how hard it must've been during the 7 game win streak. I know how hard it must've been during the 13 of 14 win stretch.

    I know how hard it must stick in your craw to see USC at the top of the Pac-12 and to be ranked for several weeks when NONE of you thought it was possible.

    I even know how hard it must've been to endure Oregon's brief run to get this game down to 10. I could even imagine, in your fevered imaginations, how you were all hoping for a MELTDOWN of the type you've seen in years past.

    But it didn't happen. You were wrong. And those who understandd basketball and understand that this is a special team were right....and we continue to be right.

    Of course, none of you will EVER admit to being wrong. You'll just slink away until the next loss, right?

    It doesn't matter though: Enfield owns you guys.

    Yes It was a huge win

    some of the features:
    No Isiah Mobley. Still won big
    Low scoring from Evan Mobley Still won Big ( he played fine)
    Team win White.. Hussle Eady.. goes off. Ethan not bad Petersen.. back to his usual self. Max even had a few.
    Baumann on the bench good move he does not fit against this team He would not get a shot off.

    As previously discussed, Defense won this game
    Not fouling again was huge , not many free throws for Oregon
    Somebody got this team to step up the pace / intensity. About time....

    Room For Improvement:

    Out of Bounds play: There is none. I wrote it down 5+ lobs No attempt at anything else
    Press break: a little weak, but they got it past half court
    More feed to low post Evan Mobley
    More movement on offense. the stand around is awful.

    If the team played like this, no OSU loss. Colorado, Arizona who knows.

    Road trip coming up

      Your negative posts and comments are incessant. We lose to Arizona and the sky is falling, nevermind their players are ranked higher than ours and we already won at their house. There is always room for improvement, but we won by 14 and held them to 58 points.

      Dude, you said before the game that we should get ready to go on a nosedive because we're now playing the top of the conference and we will wilt against Oregon, Colorado, UCLA ect!!!! That's basically what you said and you're constantly being a negative Nancy.

      Are you saying the last 5 games are not the most difficult part of the schedule? Maybe they aren't .

      Maybe Colorado , Ucla, Stanford , Oregon and Utah aren't very good teams compared to USC ?

      BTW I do not hate Enfield so I assume you are talking about others. I know him. ( a Little ) Nice guy. Could coach the team up a little more. Most "fans /posters on this site expect a little more from there talent assembled. He is being paid a lot to do it.........A really good season so far can become a great season by winning out.

        You can't be serious. This roster is full of transfers that Enfield had to combine with what was left our remaining squad and Evan Mobley. He's going to win Pac 12 coach of the year and deserve it.

        I love the shifting of the goal posts. We now have to "win out" to secure a great season.

        You don't know anything about basketball, especially USC basketball. I'm not sure why you post here and not on the anti-USC basketball board.

          Good coaching job! With I. Mosley out. I think with EA starting it gave Tahj a chance to just let it fly! EA can be shaky, but he had a game high 8 assists! And a game high 4 offensive boards!! Drew had a game high 11 rebounds!! Max and White chipped in with 7 points.

            C'mon MNH your constant attacks of the critics are getting about as annoying as them. Just ignore the criticisms if it bothers you so much. It's like a USC sports forum cannot function unless there is some sort of argument.

              I believe the reason we have such a lackluster fan base is because way too many are so used to USC being disappointing and losing that they can't recognize success when it happens. I believe we are not going to turn the corner as a fan base until that attitude is expunged as much as possible.

                Totally agree. Time to believe your eyes. This is a well coached team. There will be some tough losses, but we need to celebrate great wins like tonight. Enfield had them prepared from the start down a starter. Made a nice change starting Ethan and bring Drew off the bench. Both responded very well.

                Absolutely right on this. Just a small amount have stuck through. I hated seeing Kevin O’Neill as our coach but you know what, I still went to Galen and rooted them on. It has been a very weird/unique season with the pandemic but CAE seems to finally have things figured out in terms of building a roster - finding the right players with the right attitude. Just seems like the players have completely bought in, regardless of the multiple grad transfers, Big O moving on to the NBA, no offseason conditioning program & being projected to finish 6th in the conference. Special team, special Coaching staff & what looks to be a special season. we aren’t done yet. Fight on!!

                  I am definitely no pollyanna when it comes to USC basketball. Look at my track record the last few seasons. The team has been about where I expected them to be. I have been careful not to predict overwhelming success, and also equally careful not to project disaster.

                  It's just amazing to me that we are right now experiencing our best season in a long time and there are posters and message boards devoted to shitting on it all whenever possible. It's ridiculous and unhealthy, so I've taken it upon myself to make sure these people are called out.

                    I'll say this, I really doubted you when you said Evan would be better than Big O. I didn't get how he could improve on what were getting from Big O, but Evan has been even better.
