  • Why no cutter?

When Evan has the ball near the basket and the middle is clogged, he passes out to someone on the perimeter to shoot. Our other players are all on the perimeter too I guess to be spaced apart. It works good when our long range shooting is on. But there are times our long range shooting is off like in Arizona game. So why not have at least a player cut towards the basket for a lay up or a shot close to the basket?.

The other team's defense has a say as to whether cutters can actually make it through the lane.

That is true MNH but our front court is our strength and with good movement cutting is possible. (Not the Princeton stuff). I think our guards dribble too much..... and that is a big reason for the lack of spacing to pull off the cutting action. I am not being critical really.... I am enjoying this season...... BTW I think one thing is missing in our comments.and that is the consistent improvement in team play. Yes we have gaps in performance but man has this team come together lately..playing off each other and anticipating. Good stuff.

They are double and sometimes triple teaming Evan down low and trapping him against the baseline a lot, so it’s not easy to find a cutter in that situation. It just depends on where our bigs get the ball, and the defenses are working hard on stopping that too. Evan did have a nice assist to a cutting White tonight.

agree this team keeps improving and is starting to have the looks of a champion.
