I’m college basketball the mediocre and poor programs are defined by how they do in the regular season. The better programs are defined by how they do in the post season. In other words this team’s story might not be written yet.

While we all have been use to seeing this program hit a road bump in years past, I must say, I got a bit ahead of myself and thought we would be able to win out the rest of the way after the Oregon game. Then Boulder happened & obviously SLC happened..perhaps the worst road trip in the Conference..our guys were tired & it showed in both games. It happens & losses will happen, 2 more MEANINGFUL games back home in Southern California. I’m in. Fight on!

Let's be a little honest here. We are nowhere near the most talented team in the conference. We have one player who will get drafted and play in the NBA. I.Mobley,a nice role player, we can all agree was an overrated 5* recruit. We have some nice pieces that came from lower division one programs where they didn't dominate at that level. I asked this question on this board a few times this year. Where do you believe this basketball team would finish in the conference without Evan Mobley? IMO, at the very bottom.
We are all very disappointed what has transpired lately but the team can't lose its focus and this season and its history is still to be written. We haven't played our most important game or games yet. This is where the coaching staff has to bring the team together and get re-energized. Just about everything they wish to attain is still in front of them. Fight On!

Perhaps that's because he draws pressure anyways, which opens things up, but I think we would hover around 6th without him and that's mostly because our defense would fall.
Enfield has called I Mobley our best interior defender, Tahj would be playing a larger role on the team earlier and hopefully Drew would be playing better throughout the year. Goodwin could easily go for a DD a night with more playing time.
Of course... If you're going to make this claim, make it evenly across the P12, ask: are more dependent on Evan than the rest of the conference is on their best player?
And the answer may STILL be yes, but take Col without Wright, AZ w/o Akinjo, ASU w/o Martin, Stanford w/o DeSilva etc - NONE of those teams are competing for a P12 crown without their best player. None.

Thoroughly disagree with you. Evan is the reason why Eaddy has gotten so many good looks. You say I. Mobley is our best interior defender and i say Evan is our best defender period. He is the one that alters shots and who players fear in the lane, not Isaiah who is a good defender. "Goodwin could easily go for a double double a night?" He didn't do that at Wofford. IMO, he would foul out much more often the he would have a double double. NO ONE would be playing at a higher level without Evan on the team. It would be the opposite.
Yes, every team would suffer greatly without their best player but my point is that IMO, many other teams have a better supporting cast around their best player then USC.

I mean agree to disagree, I guess, but teams play differently when they KNOW they have an asset vs. when that asset isn't even present.
In the entire season of basketball we've played you could say we have made some number X* good plays of basketball.
Are you really going to say that more than 50% of that number X is made directly because of Evan and for no other reason, c'mon.
Nights when Evan is being double or triple teamed he "passes out of it," it's not some perfect magical pass to the open man - it's just the only open pass he could have made since all other avenues are blocked.
I Mobley being our best interior defender are Enfield's words, not mine, you're free to disagree.
