We came back off a tough trip and we rested for a day and had two great practices, the team was very focused. We had terrific basketball on both ends of the floor tonight.
We gave great effort, did a lot of switching, used our length. Stanford uses a lot of motion in their offense so we had to understand who we were switching on and who we weren't. We did a great job with that.
On the 21 assists
We did a much better job of moving the basketball. We had some turnovers early but settled down and then it was fun to watch.
On the status of the 3-position at this point in the year
I think defensively we need to continue to play big. We went small a little bit on the road trip. Any wing player who can make shots will play for us. Isaiah gave us energy and had 3 steals before his back caused him trouble. Max gave us great defensive presence tonight and made some good offensive plays. Reese played really well in practice, that's why we gave him some minutes.
On Peterson's night
He played great, made the right decisions. He just filled the stat sheet up tonight. This was one of his better games.
On the importance of getting extra practice time to prepare for games
It's important defensively because there's certain drills we do on a weekly basis. We just got worn out last week, we played four games in a week. Arizona and Oregon were very tough games to prepare for. We were flat out exhausted by Saturday. We just didn't have much left in the tank. It was nice to come home and regroup and get back to what we were good at.
On the coming UCLA game
UCLA's a very good team and undefeated at home. We have to go in and play as hard as we can and do our best. Both teams are good and it's great for the city of Los Angeles to have this matchup.

I had been a bit complacent on the court and lost my confidence a bit, so it feels good to bounce back. We're feeling good now heading into this last game this weekend.
On having a chance at a triple double
For sure, I noticed that I was flirting with it. I just try to get everyone involved. I'm not trying to be Kevin Durant scoring wise. I try to rebound and defend and once I get back into a rhythm then my whole game kind of comes together.
On bouncing back from the road trip
It was a huge response from us. After Utah we really locked in in practice the last couple days. We knew we have to get back in a groove. We locked down defensively which usually kickstarts our offense. When we get the ball moving, that's the difference.
We focused on what made us great earlier in the year and that's how we get outcomes like this. Which is awesome.
On the UCLA game
It's definitely huge for a number of reasons. Still have a chance at the conference title. We have a lot of history with our crosstown rivals. It would be huge to get a win there. Would be great to go into March with another win and get some momentum for us.
