1. I get the general sense that we have the psychological edge in this one. As a program, UCLA no longer scares USC and our most recent rosters in particular have generally felt confident playing them. On top of that, UCLA coming off a tough loss in which they really shot their wad but came away short and may have blown the conference title vs. us having a blowout over Stanford to remain in the hunt is quite the contrast. It's also good that we won't know until tomorrow about Oregon's result against Oregon State.
2. That all said, I've been around this block too many times and funny things happen at Pauley Pavilion. I've seen USC shoot lights out there, and I've seen us not able to hit the side of a barn.
3. Juzang is a game-time decision (ankle), which may account for the line shifting toward us.
4. If we bring defensive effort the whole game, I think we will win. When we do that, we're the best team in the league. I don't think UCLA is mentally tough and we might be able to impose our will if we play hard (like in the first game).
5. It's been a fun season and I'm looking forward to seeing what this team can do in the coming tournament settings. Let's get behind them!
