  • Revealing Stat about last nights game...

So UCLA was ahead of USC for ~2,236 seconds of yesterdays game and it turns our that NOT ONE OF THEM was the correct second to be ahead...

NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW THIS this but in order to win a basketball game it's actually critical to be ahead during the end of the last 1 second of the game. Andy Enfield understands this, apparently Mick Cronin does not - but I think this would help them win more games.

Hope Mick doesnt find this board with these juicy insightful stats floating around.

    Fight on! Go Beaves!

That's why yesterday's win over UCLA is so surreal and mesmerizing.

In a 40-minute game, USC only leads in 1.4 seconds; nevertheless, we take the W home!

I thought I read that USC is undefeated in games where we had three double digit scorers. We had
      4 yesterday

We are also undefeated in games where we were in the lead in the final 1.4 seconds.

Hahaha, so true on this intelligent observation. 😃😃

This brings back the painful memory of our 2016 NCAA first round game against Providence. We had a one-point lead with about 1.5 seconds to go. They took a base line inbound pass to a player under the basket who scored immediately. We blew it!

Well, that's 1.5 seconds. Your 1.4 seconds golden rule remains immortally true.

Sorry to bring back that memory. That was awful!

Hopefully the 1.4 second rule stays true all the way through April!
