  • This is not a good win ..

But a great win on ESPN 😊✌ .. Happy for our coaching staff and team. I cannot remember the last time we won at McKale. This is a huge victory and quality win away from home. I have to say Colorado got lucky we played them just after a long 2 wk Covid pause from basketball. Our team will look a lot better,, esp defensively when Anderson comes back. Fight On!

    yes

Sean Miller has never lost to USC At home
Andy Enfield has never won a game in Tuscon
    Usc Made some Free Throws
Defense was pretty good. awful at times
Goodwin and Isiah fouled out and Usc still won
    Lots of contributors
Evan Mobley was big in the second half
Turnovers were really bad. can be improved
Offense scheme is still really weak

The team has talent and is 10 deep and can play much better with better coaching......................................

Nice! First win at McHale since 2008 for the Trojans! One down, now on to ASU to get that desert sweep. I heard Remy Martin was out today against the ruins, anyone know his status for our game on Saturday? Hopefully Ethan will be back, we could really use him. Eaddy and Peterson are managing, but just not true PGs.

Fight on! Beat the Sun Devils!

Repeating the same unsupported claim about the weakness of the offensive scheme over and over is not making it true. Whatever Enfield's deficencies may be, his grasp of college team offense is not among them. It might be more fair to criticize his recruiting. We've had a lot of trouble finding a balanced roster prior to this year. Talented yes -- but this is the first one with the players to execute our stuff at every position. And we still miss Ethan Anderson badly at the point.

Maybe if you watched some of his videos it might give you some idea of the offensive concepts Enfield is using. They're not really all that different from what other coaches around the country rely on, not counting guys like Tony Bennett. The Bobby Knights and John Woodens are all gone now. Good riddance.

Yeah, shot over 58% from the field and 57% from the three and scored 87 points on the road against a pretty good defensive team. Tthe offensive scheme must be really weak. Ridiculous

one game does not really erase 5-6 years. Every announcers from Color men to Walton to others like him constantly comment on things like : Get the Ball to Big O! ( Last Year),
The offense needs to Run THROUGH Evan Mobley, etc. Example Low Post, then when double teamed, kick it out to a wing or point on the same side ( 3 Point Shooter), USC does not do this. The 3 Point threat needs to be on the same side of the doubled low post. Having Evan Mobley setting multiple picks 35 feet + from the basket repeatedly is something no other coach would do. (See Bibby High Low Clancy / Scalabine). Most of this is probably too specific for most bloggers unless you played D-1 Basketball ( I did) and had great coaches teach you.
Yes it was a great win. The big factors were defense holding 3 very good AZ guards to almost nothing offensively. Second FT were good for once. Third, although their big man went off none of their other big guy scored much.

AZ has less turnovers. Some of USC's were really bad turnovers, but did not lead to breakaways.
          AZ had more steals
AZ had more offensive rebounds. A key stat most of the time
Evan GETTING the ball in the second half and the defense lead to the win
Career game by White was huge that is why he has entered the starting lineup. Ethan out, made that imperative with Peterson and Eady playing the point.

Offense hopefully will continue to improve which would make this a pretty good team.
Post guard returning some day will help........

          I have previously written:
          I like the team makeup
Talent is good. 2 guys fouled out and USC kept going
I hope there are more wins from coaching and not just talent
          9 deep is pretty good
Bibby and Floyd played with 7 deep most of the time

Really need to beat a depleted ASU team although Remy, Their best player will be back

They play hard , a reflection of their gritty coach Bobby Hurley.......street fighter

Great win for Enfield and his staff, very happy for them. It wasn't looking great early with the turnovers, getting dominated on the boards and Arizona's freshman big outshining USC's, but they came to play tonight where it mattered, making shots, and outside of Tubelis, Arizona couldn't buy a bucket. So refreshing to have that happen on a game that USC needed in the worst way, beating a tourney-caliber team on the road in McKale.

They said on the UCLA-ASU telecast that Remy Martin was on bereavement in LA for his grandfather's funeral and should be back home in time for the game vs. SC. Hope USC can keep up the great guard defense and keep hitting shots.

Fight On, beat the Sun Devils!
