Great win! The first half was exactly the kind of playing that many of us expected from USC. We're still missing Miura and Campbell, but Aaron and Pili made the starting line up. With a deeper bench and a strong starting five, USC handled the Sun Devils so well during the first half. ASU did put up a big fight in the third but the WOT were able to regroup for part of it. USC led by as many as 21 points against a solid team that nearly took out UCLA at Pauley after an 18-point deficit.
I'm so glad we have these players back. Sanders, Pili, Aaron, Rogers, and Caldwell are a solid starting five. And, obviously the other players are great for the team's overall prowess too. If we had all of these players from the beginning, this would be a different season. If postponed games are still played, 'SC still has to play Cal in the bay as well as 2 matches against Washington and Oregon State. We still need Arizona at home, too. The Mountain games and the trip to Pullman won't be easy, but definitely possible for this squad.
Four points to keep in mind: Oliver suited up but did not play, which was a bit of a surprise. Also, Bohn made an appearance to Galen Center. Good to see him there; I hope he continues to make more appearances; there's plenty of work the Athletic Department has to after years of neglecting this team. Next, I hope Sanders is okay. She had a bad fall and the medical staff had to come out. Hopefully it isn't something serious; this player does have a ton of heart! But, for a team with a ton of injuries, this would be a big hit. Lastly, congrats to Rogers on tying her career-high of 30 points!
