  • USC upsets WSU, moves to 5th in Pac-12 standings!

Whoa! What a game! After a slow start, USC really picked it up in the 2nd quarter to take the lead. Despite no Sanders or Jackson, USC was able to take down a WSU team in Pullman 2 days after the cougars upset No. 5 UCLA! The Trojans are now 9-7, 7-6.

If you had told me that USC would be above. 500 in conference play as well as in the top 5 of the Pac-12 this late into the season, I would have never believed you. Let's go! FIGHT ON!

I love your enthusiasm Vaz!. What a difference it makes to have shooters available, Miura looked great in her second game back (10 pts, 2 made 3's) and Shalexxus looked solid again with 15 pt including 4 made 3's. Madison Campbell the other 3 pt sniper still is working her way back in, so missed both of her shot attempts from 3. Endya Rogers was the star of the game and was clutch again with 22 pts, 8 rebs, 5 assts and 2 steals. She is playing with confidence. Add in the 18 pts by Pili who is just beginning to resemble her old self and 14 from Desiree and that makes 5 Trojans in double figures. The key stat to me was that the Trojans had only 6 turnovers in the game (very good!), while forcing the Cougs into 15. Not sure how long Jordan Sanders is out, nor Angel Jackson, but if we ever get a complete roster available at the same time, we could make some noise down the stretch. Next SC travels to the mountain schools with Colorado on Friday and Utah on Sunday. They need to get these wins, before ending the season with the Oregon schools at Galen and the 'ruins at Pauley. The next two are much for winnable than those last 3.

Yeah, I love yours as well, SCthe1! Yeah, this was overall a solid performance. And, after a shaky start, I appreciate how the coaching staff and team regrouped to turn it around completely.

I really hope the WOT are able to make up those games against Cal and Washington. 'SC has taken them down before, and it would be great to have rematches and potentially add to the win column. I also wonder if they can play Arizona as well. The team fell just one point short in Tucson, and after today's performance and with Sanders and Jackson back in the lineup, I think the team can get revenge!

I do think Colorado and Utah are going to be tough, since the mountain schools are often hard on the road. They also pushed USC when they came to Galen. And you're right about the difficulties from the Oregon schools, but I do think that they can put up a fight, especially against Oregon State.

This team has had its ups and downs. After UCR I was feeling jaded. But, today has me feeling pumped, and I hope this is a signal for some strong momentum moving into the post-season!

Very good win. Just thinking about what a healthy team would look like next season. Deeper, stronger and more skilled with Williams and the incoming freshman. If everyone comes back healthy this team is fight for a conference title. lookout world
