I know that there is no access for supporters and fans to the team due to the times we are in, but would still like to see some increase in the discussion here, so feel free to post. I know on the old board there were certain reliable posters like TrojanTim. If anyone knows him or other former posters, please give them a heads up to this site. Fight On!

Re: news, you're totally right. The Athletics Department needs to put in much more effort. I'd say the same goes for student journalists too (i.e. Daily Trojan and Annenberg). It's been a bit hard to find some info, but for now, here is the wiki page that I've been trying to put together for this season. Still waiting for approval from some wiki admins: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:...asketball_team

Well, I was on the zoom and learned no specifics on the injured players, but just that ALL are expected to be back within the next 1.5 months or sooner. I posted a question about Transfer Shemeera Williams from UVA regarding whether she is enrolled and eligible to play this season, but the question was not fielded. There was a pretty good turnout of people who listened to Trakh and Brynn Cameron for the
WOT and Enfield, Sam Clancy and Evan Mobley for the men's team. My question I posted on coverage of the women's team was also not addressed. People had many questions and the entire meeting was less than an hour long, so many questions by posters went unanswered.

When you have a coach like Trakh and you have won one game, regardless of the injuries, and you lose to Stanford by 20, can someone please tell me how his coaching is anydifferent then it has been the last 4 years and what improvements have there been. when you have 5 team in the top 15 nationally and you are currently 0 for the conference, how do you expect to get to the upper level of the Pac 12.
I've said it since they hired him thisi time. they did not conduct a national search but gota re-tread who they let go the first time. This guy is not the answer to USC womens basketball

USC has a legacy of ADs who simply don't put in the effort they need to find the right coaches for women's basketball. The WOT could have had Kate Paye or Karl Smesko, but Swann made it public that the department wasn't willing to pay the price for a quality mentor. Trakh isn't a bad coach, but he isn't the one this program needs, especially in this conference. However, Haden, Swann, and Heinel are out. Bohn needs to demonstrate that he is willing to take this program to the next level (or rather, bring it back to the elite level that it once was). There's no reason USC shouldn't be at the level that women's volleyball and women's soccer consistently display.

I generally don’t follow the womens program, but they seem to recruit well year in/year out. Not at the level of UCLA who generally gets the girls from Windward (one or the top girls programs in the area) but UCLA as we all know is a pretty stable program.

Our problem under C. Trakh is that his teams have always seemed to have crazy injury bugs. Right now if we had our full roster we have at least 2 less losses. He's never had a problem recruiting but his teams are snake bitten with injury. And it always seems to be the top one or two players. Crazy but in a conference as good as the Pac 12 is that can't happen.

Does the women’s team have the same strength and conditioning staff as the men’s?
If there’s such a rash of injuries, it seems to me that the strength and conditioning is not giving the players the right exercises to help prevent them (which can differ from what male athletes need), or there is a problem with practice (either far too frequent/punishing, or too little “game speed” acclimation). Does Trakh bring his own s&c team in? (Willie Taggart did this with Oregon football several years ago to disastrous results). Lastly, it could be some kind of pattern with his lineups or substitutions (like Thibodeau running his players into the ground in Chicago).
Despite what they sometimes seem to give up in strength, the men’s team actually seems to have a great history with injury prevention and rehab. JMac could’ve had recurring shoulder problems his entire career but was able to overcome that nearly seemlessly.
