It was nice to get a win, especially with the Oregon trip on the horizon. The PAC-12 is brutal and it will be interesting to see if the tournament committee recognizes takes note of that at the end of the year. In the past, when the SEC, ACC and Big-10 were good, you'd see 8 or 9 of their teams invited to the Big Dance. Now that the PAC is unquestionably the best conference in the land, will it get the same respect? No matter what, USC must beat up on the bottom half of the conference and get an upset or two against the upper echelon teams in order to have a strong argument for a tournament birth this year. Certainly getting Pili and the other injured players back would help in that cause. Need to build some momentum, not just for this year, but looking forward to the next couple of years as the current underclassmen develop and some talented recruits arrive on campus.
