Can we possibly have today's level of performance carry over to tomorrow's game against Stanford? We can certainly try to bring that same energy and play tough D. Will we shoot 65%, not likely, but if we knock down some 3s and limit Stanford's 3's, we will be very competitive in this game. I am not ready to call for an upset, but I am saying we are not going to be run off the court., What does everyone else think?

Last time these two matched up USC was hanging in there until Pili reaggravated her ankle injury. Let's hope they can keep it close, but Stanford's defense is on another level than USC saw yesterday. USC needs to rebound and improve their shot selection from the first game to be competitive.

Troy76 is totally right; shot selection is key. I'd like to see Jackson make better shots overall, and I'd like to see Miura get the chance to shoot more 3s.
A few weeks ago, I felt like this team had the ability to go 4 for 4 like they did in 2014. I don't feel that anymore, but if USC can pull off the upset today, they would bring momentum against Oregon State in the semis. Fight On!

5 to 23 after the first quarter. This game is more than over at this point. Players aren't making good shots, and ones that have more thought simply aren't going in. I'm surprised Trakh didn't call a time out after the first half of quarter without a single field goal. There doesn't seem to be much chemistry with this team today. I'm sure some of it is in their heads because this is Stanford, but a lot of this also is just bad shots, some bad plays, and no rebounds on either end. They need some serious change in motivation, chemistry, and strategy.
Now we're a minute into the second half, and they're shooting 10% from the field, down 27-5. Once again, it seems like some of these players are just throwing up the ball without even looking at the hoop.
